Bookmetrix: The Story So Far | 27th March 2018

Follow the story of Bookmetrix, from humble beginnings to powerful assessment tool. Observe recent and upcoming developments to the platform, and see examples of research output using Bookmetrix data. We'll also show you how to use the platform to your advantage when assessing eBooks.

In 2015, Springer Nature announced itself as the first publisher to offer title and chapter level metrics across all of its books with the launch of Bookmetrix: an innovative, new platform bringing together citations, downloads and altmetrics for books and chapters. Updated in real-time, the data provides an accurate representation of the current reach, usage, and broader impacts of each book or chapter for all authors, editors and readers.

Subsequent developments to the platform meant that in October last year, Bookmetrix 2.0 launched, extending its scope to provide additional insights into Springer Nature’s various eBook collections. With these new features, Bookmetrix adds value and saves time by offering detailed information for authors and readers, as well as librarians seeking to assess the impact of eBook collections.
