Springer Nature and the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) have established a Transformative Agreement.

The Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) is the peak leadership organisation for university libraries in Australia. CAUL members are the University Librarians or equivalent of the 39 institutions that have representation on Universities Australia and the 8 members of the Council of New Zealand University Librarians (CONZUL). More information on the two membership categories of the Council is available here.

Researchers from the participating consortium institutions can publish their research open access in more than 2,000 Springer hybrid journals with fees covered. In addition, as part of the agreement researchers at these institutions will be able to read, use and reuse research published in Springer Nature journals across the Springer, Palgrave Macmillan and Adis portfolios and in the Academic Journals on nature.com.
