Springer Nature and the IReL Consortium have established a Transformative Agreement. IReL is a well-known nationally funded e-resource licensing consortium offering access on behalf of publicly funded Irish higher educational institutions. The consortium offers access to a wide variety of Science, Technology, Medicine and Humanities and Social Sciences resources.
The Transformative Agreement between Springer Nature and IReL will help scholarly communities affiliated with the participating institutions to access over 2,300 titles and allows authors to publish in over 2,000 Open Choice journals. The agreement will be significantly impacting Irish research for years to come.
