How it works
Licensed access to Springer Nature content can be purchased on an annual basis through a single license for all platforms, including nature.com, link.springer.com and palgrave.com. A current license provides online access and continuing access to all material published during your license supply period.
A Springer Nature license is available to academic institutions, governments and corporations and is purchased by everyone from small colleges on a single site to global organizations with multiple locations. Tailored licensing options are based on research intensity and the number of patrons.
We also work with consortia of various types and sizes and welcome discussion with all consortium managers. A consortium should consist of at least five member institutions. The benefits for the consortium include discounts on list price. Members have the flexibility to select the publications they want to include, or Springer Nature will work with the consortium to create customized packages.
A license model that allows your institution to select the titles most suitable to your users, in the formats you require, with pricing based on your FTE count.
Customers can retain access to all licensed content, subject to payment of an annual access fee, should an agreement be cancelled. The policy applies to all publications owned by Springer Nature.
