When you publish a book a book with Springer Nature there are a multitude of benefits open to you as an author. One important aspect of our publishing process is that our books are made available in three formats.

  1. Print– Everyone is familiar with the traditional print book. Contrary to what many people believed at the height of the eBook boom, print is not dead.  People still enjoy reading a printed edition of a book – whether it’s having the freedom to hand mark-up pages, or hold onto something you can flip the pages of. Readers, scholars, and scientists will find your book available to purchase in the Springer Shop and book retailers.
  2. eBook – eBooks continue in popularity and are a convenient way to read, especially when travelling, commuting, or reading a large or heavy volume. All of our books are made available in eBook form and can be bought directly from the Springer Shop, as well as online book retailers.
One of the greatest advantages of our eBook option, is that it allows for your book to be included in the world’s largest collection of STM & HSS books on our platform SpringerLink. Nearly 200,000 titles broken down into subject collections are made available in libraries across the world on this platform. With SpringerLink, your eBook becomes a fully indexed and searchable vehicle of information available to millions of users. Learn more about our eBook collections.
  3. MyCopy – Students and researchers have the option to choose an affordable and complete edition of your book when they choose to order a MyCopy.  This unique service is available at all institutions with subscriptions to SpringerLink, and allows users to purchase a printed copy of eBooks in the collections their library has purchased.
The MyCopy edition of your book has black and white printed content and all illustrations in monochrome. It is a perfect option for a reader who enjoys reading the eBook version of a title, but also likes the flexibility of having a soft cover edition as well. When visiting SpringerLink it as simple as selecting the “Buy Now” MyCopy button. Learn more about MyCopy.

This unique publishing model offers readers the option to choose the format that best fits their needs. In turn, as an author, you’ll see your book exposed to a wider audience. Read more about what it means to have your book available in all formats.
