Integrate Biodiversity in Governmental Planning

SDG 15.9 icon © Springer Nature 2023Ecosystems and biodiversity provide a wide range of essential services, such as clean air and water, food, and medicine. They also play an important role in regulating the climate and protecting us from natural disasters. United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) 15.9 aims to integrate ecosystem and biodiversity values into national and local planning, development processes, poverty reduction strategies and accounts. This means that the value of ecosystems and biodiversity should be considered when making decisions about land use, resource management, and other development activities.

Here you’ll find a curated selection of research articles, special issues, collections, books, and chapters, covering a range of critical topics connected to UN SDG 15.9.
