We’re starting the year with a service spotlight on one of our key services for authors, MySpringer and MyPalgrave.

An Overview

A MySpringer/MyPalgrave account offers direct access to your author account. From there you can download your free personal eBook copy, access your 40% author discount, track your publications, and find various other services periodically.

Using the MyPublication tool, your account will update on where your books and/or journal articles are in the publication process. Update your e-mail preferences so that you are informed of the latest status changes, as well as the most recent journal issue, book, or series bases upon your interests.

What do I need to do to create an account?

An account is created for you during the publication process. If you have trouble accessing it you can reset your password for a MySpringer account here or a MyPalgrave account here.

What type of additional periodic services can be found on my account?

If your book is eligible you will find your title’s Annual Book Performance report available with comprehensive information on your book’s data.

Can I use my personal e-mail to access the service if I have previously registered under my university e-mail?

Yes, but your book and journal data will be linked only to the e-mail you have published the content under. We recommended continuously publishing with us under the same e-mail address so that you can comprehensively view your published research in one place.

More About Book Tracking

Turning manuscripts into published eBooks and print editions can take a while. We want you to be able to see where in the production process your book currently stands. Book Tracking is a service that you can find on MySpringer or MyPalgrave, which informs you of the most current production stage. If you choose to be alerted by email, just sign up right on the Book Tracking page and you will be alerted as soon as the status changes.

More About Book Performance Metrics

The same MySpringer/MyPalgrave pages are also a great place to visit after your books are published. Provided by Bookmetrix, you can find current metrics for your books, such as the number of chapter downloads from SpringerLink, citations, social media shares or other online mentions, excerpts from reviews, as well as “readers” – users who have included your book in their personal library on Mendeley.
