Would you like to learn more about peer review? Sense about Science will be running a workshop which aims to give you all the insights.

As a STEM and social science early career researcher you will be given the opportunity to attend for free and learn more about the challenges to the system and the role of peer review in helping the public to evaluate research claims. Also, Nature Communications’ Editor in Chief, Elisa De Ranieri will be joining a panel; key takeaways will be:

  • Learning about the different peer review systems
  • The future of peer review
  • How reviewers are selected
  • The process of choosing papers as well as avoiding bias

The half day workshop will take place on Friday 21st June at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in London.  You can read more about the workshop and reserve your place here.

Springer Nature offers a number of free e-learning modules for peer reviewers and more resources and insights on the peer review process.
