SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Nations around the world struggle to protect the rights of people against violence, discrimination, organized crime, to name but a few. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG16): Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, hold critical importance in dealing with these problems.

The SDG16 focuses on addressing the threats to fundamental freedoms of people around the world by developing strong institutions that are free from corruption and promote transparency and participatory decision-making. Every nation irrespective of its geographical location has to deal with the issue of human rights protection. This goal also recognizes the imperative role of international cooperation in combating threats to peace and justice globally.

Research not only plays a key role in identifying the probable threats and issues but analyzes the best way to tackle them and move forward. The researchers at Springer Nature recognize that their work can help policymakers develop better public policies. We are honored to showcase the work of our researchers as they are committed to actualizing the goals of SDG16 into reality through their work.
