Insights from the Editorial Team

2020 has been an exceptional year. The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted urban inequalities and weaknesses in our economies and political systems. We would like to think of it as a challenge, or a call for action. It is time to do our best to tackle our problems and contribute to making our cities sustainable.

In 2020 we have aimed to do just that. Through our impactful book and journal publications, we have tackled current issues and published pioneer research offering insight to the community in the field. We have published on the topics of urban inequality, segregation, urban resilience, urban diversity, urban greening, urban ecosystems, food in cities, circular economy, urban governance, among others. Knowledge of our spaces becomes as important as ever, and on that note, we are proud of our commitment to impactful cities research. Our portfolio includes high quality monographs, edited volumes, Open Access books, reference works, briefs, book series, journals and articles. While we have selected a limited number of highlight titles, we encourage you to browse our website to discover the breadth of our urban studies publications.
