シュプリンガーネイチャーの転換契約（Transformative Agreement）に参加する機関は、論文のOA出版とジャーナルの利用（閲覧・ダウンロード）の両方が1つの契約で可能になります。また、OAのコストと管理を行うだけではなく、国によっては研究助成機関のオープンアクセス要件に簡単に準拠できるようになります。転換契約を締結した機関は、対象となるシュプリンガーネイチャーのジャーナルに、機関が費用を負担すること*で論文をオープンアクセスで出版することができます。

Agreements that enable institutions and funders to cover open access publishing costs for Springer Nature's fully OA journals.
If your institution has a fully open access agreement with Springer Nature, you may publish your article open access with your fees covered in more than 600 fully OA journals from BMC, Nature Portfolio, Palgrave, and SpringerOpen.
Over 500 institutions are part of Springer Nature’s membership program for journals in the BMC and Springer fully open access portfolios. Member institutions actively support open access by arranging fully-prepaid or discounted article processing charges (APCs) for their affiliated authors. To help authors choose OA, we offer agreements that enable individual institutions to cover OA publishing costs for affiliated authors. If your institution has an agreement with Springer Nature, you may publish your article OA at no cost or in some cases with the costs partially funded, in Springer Nature’s fully OA journals.
Our transformative agreements enable participating institutions to combine journal subscription access along with OA publication costs (APCs).
In addition to managing the cost and administration of OA, transformative agreements offer authors an easy way to comply with funders’ OA requirements.
If your institution has a transformative agreement, you may publish your article OA with your fees covered, in Springer Nature journals that are included in the agreement.
