2025—September 7-11—Torino—Booth number 2 + 3
When you visit the Springer Nature booth 2 + 3, you can talk to some of the most experienced editors working in scholarly publishing. These experts can answer any questions you might have and can explain the ins and outs of today’s publishing landscape, including open access (OA), what’s involved in writing and publishing a book, and more.
And you can see the full range of Materials Science publications at Springer and Nature Portfolio here. On these pages, you’ll find more detailed information about the books, journals, and services you’ll see highlighted especially for 34th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials.
The goal of the Biomaterials, Bioengineering and Sustainability series is to highlight new concepts and solutions for the development of the next-generation biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine approaches. The volumes will focus on the identification of new sources of sustainable or recycled biomaterials, ideas for green technologies and applications in biofabrication and drug delivery systems, including the use of renewable and sustainable source of human cells applied for cell therapies or in combination with the above.
Contact the Publishing EditorThis collection in JMS: Materials in Medicine aims to summarize, systematically analyze, discuss, and explore the latest cutting-edge progress in the design, development, and application of green and sustainable polymers in biomedical frameworks, with particular emphasis on wound healing and tissue regeneration. The primary objective of this collection is to outline and discuss how naturally derived polymers can be leveraged to improve patient outcomes while reducing the environmental footprint associated with the use of traditional synthetic materials.
Submit your workWe invite Editorial Board Members of the Discover journals portfolio to Meet & Greet with Dr. Thomas von Larcher (Senior Editor of Discover Applied Sciences). The event will take place at the Springer Nature booth on Tuesday, 9 SEP, from 1:30 to 5:30p.m. Refreshments and cake will be served. Please come to our booth #2 + 3 and join us if you have the chance!
Submissions welcomedYou’re attending 34th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials because you have results to share. But what’s the best way to reach the widest appropriate audience? The Springer Nature editors who are here can help answer that question. You can take the opportunity to meet with Dr. Eva, Dr. Thomas, Akash and Roberto. If you haven’t written a book before, they can give you a quick introduction to the process. And if you have, they can show you how publishing a book with Springer and Nature Portfolio would be different from other publishers. They can also help answer any questions you might have about Springer and Nature Portfolio journals.

Publishing model Hybrid
Open access (OA) refers to the free, immediate, online availability of research outputs such as journal articles or books, combined with the rights to use these outputs fully in the digital environment. Publishing OA expands the reach of your research, fostering greater impact, visibility and usage of your work. Studies indicate that gold OA articles achieve significantly more downloads, citations, and Altmetric attention than non-OA articles.
You may be able to publish OA, with your fees covered, through one of Springer Nature’s many OA agreements. Alternatively, you can use our free OA funding and support service to find and apply for funding to cover your article processing charges (APCs) and/or book processing charges (BPCs).
Ultimately, serving the research community means research that’s open to all. And the only way to achieve full, immediate, and sustainable OA is by prioritising gold OA.
