The aim of the Indian Research Advisory Council, set up in 2025, is to deepen engagement within India’s research ecosystem and advance shared goals around research integrity, diversity, equity and inclusion, and the societal impact of research in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Indian Research Advisory Council serves as a strategic platform for engagement with leading stakeholders from academia, government, industry, and funding bodies, offering insights and practical recommendations that reflect national priorities. It enables collaboration on innovative approaches to scholarly communication, with a focus on open access and open science.
It is one of several research advisory councils which Springer Nature has set up with a select group of external stakeholders to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices in advancing research.
