Korean Research Advisory Forum

The Korean Research Advisory Forum was established in 2024 to bring together a diverse group of influential figures from South Korean research organisations. The forum discusses key challenges and priorities for research in South Korea, exploring how we can work together to address these issues.

It is one of several research advisory councils which Springer Nature has set up with a select group of external stakeholders to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices in advancing research.

The inaugural Korean Research Advisory Forum roundtable brought together leading research institutions to address challenges in research assessment, emphasising the need for qualitative, transparent, and socially impactful evaluation methods. The forum also highlighted the importance of diversity, inclusion, and reducing reliance on traditional metrics to foster a more innovative and globally competitive research environment.
