China New Development Awards

2021 Shortlist

It is our honor to announce the 2021 China New Development Awards. This year’s event will feature the most impactful sustainable development research books from China published by Springer Nature in 2020. We launched these awards at the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) back in August 2019, and last year we were able to continue them with an online event. Fortunately, 2021 permits us to revive the third event to take place in-person during BIBF again this August. The awards represent an inherent component of Springer Nature’s Sustainable Development Goals program. They also acknowledge and promote Chinese academic scholarship that tackles the pressing issues affecting the development and maintenance of the world’s societies, and they feature unique research insights into sustainable long-term solutions.

The 10 winning book titles from the 2021 China New Development Awards will be announced during BIBF on August August 25, BIBF meeting room E201. Below are featured the 20 shortlisted titles selected by the panel of Springer Nature’s award judges. Selected chapters from each title will be opened up for free access to all until the end of September.
