Why is Research Data Support free for City, University of London researchers?

This partnership with City is a new example of Springer Nature’s Research Data Support services for institutions. Rather than researchers submitting their datasets to the Springer Nature figshare repository for curation and publication, in this instance Springer Nature’s data curators work directly with the data in the institution's existing data repository. Published data receive a DOI and detailed data record in figshare as standard but also benefit from expert guidance and feedback as part of the Research Data Support process.
