2020 has been an extraordinary year - extremely difficult and challenging on a global scale. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a great deal of uncertainty and heartbreak. As the workplaces closed, I was fortunate enough to be able to work from home, and turned the spare room into my ‘home’ office. Travel restrictions meant new ways of connecting at online conferences, coffee mornings, and Zoom calls to catch-up with authors and editors.
The World Water Day 2020 theme was, ‘Water and Climate Change’ and complementing this was the volume Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources. The content provides insights and a capacity to understand the climate change phenomenon. Water Resilience is another new title and explores the practical implications of water resilience for innovation in practice and water policy.
The Water programme at Springer Nature is strongly supported by pivotal book series as: Global Issues in Water Policy, Water Security in a New World, World Water Resources, Water Science and Technology Library, Water Governance - Concepts, Methods and Practice, and Springer Water
I am looking forward to a new year and continuing to support our scientific communities – in what I hope will be a healthy and safer environment.
