The discovery of microplastic pollutants in the environment is relatively recent, but the number of new research on their nature, distributions, ecological and social impacts, and possible solutions has been growing in a fast pace. This campaign focuses on the micropoastic pollution in water and features the latest scientific findings to support further investigations and with a hope that the shared information would benefit stakeholders in public and private sectors. This campaign concerns the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation and is a part of our commitment to help achieve the SDGs at Springer Nature.
