What is One Nation One Subscription (ONOS)?

ONOS is a Government of India initiative designed to give researchers access to international scholarly journals through one centrally negotiated subscription.

If you are affiliated with a member institution, you can access the journals at the ONOS portal (onos.gov.in), coordinated by the Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET). The portal includes all Springer Nature journals covered under ONOS, along with journals from around 30 major global publishers.

The initiative gives nearly 1.8 crore students, faculty, researchers and scientists of all disciplines access to high‑quality scholarly journals, helping strengthen both core and interdisciplinary research.

It also supports open access publishing through Article Processing Charge (APC) funding support for selected journals enabling researchers to publish in top OA journals.
