We believe that data should be open, accessible and reusable. Open access to knowledge inherently facilitates interdisciplinary research and pushes the boundaries of discovery. Springer Nature is a signatory on the consensus statement, sharing research data and findings relevant to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are making SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 research free.

This offer applies exclusively to:

  • Authors submitting to or published in Springer Nature journals
  • Primary epidemiological data (excluding for example secondary analysis/modelling of existing data)
  • COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 (excluding, for example, other coronaviruses)

Authors must publish their data in line with standard Research Data Support terms and conditions, under one of our available licenses. Additional storage costs will be applicable for datasets over 500GB.
