Since its inception in 2016, the Literature, Culture and Media Studies eBook collection has been home to some of the most cutting-edge research in the humanities, and this year is no different. While building on classic well-studied topics, the 2023 collection forges ahead and ventures further into innovative and emerging research areas.

Classic subjects such as Shakespeare, film and television studies and theatre history are, as ever, well covered but newer topics such as social media, sound and music studies, literature and energy, theatre and the environment, science fiction and fantasy, and interpersonal communication are added to bring this collection right up to date for students and researchers interested in critical contemporary cultural issues.

Featuring a fantastic line-up of authors, this collection continues to showcase topflight research that breaks barriers and wins awards. Notable contributors have included esteemed scholar of media and communication Arthur Asa Berger, renowned semiotician Marcel Danesi, and award-winning investigative journalist David Leigh, with many equally high calibre authors set to feature in the 2023 collection.

Our Handbooks programme is particularly strong for 2023 with a swathe of new titles releasing such as The Palgrave Handbook of Theatre and Migration, The Palgrave Handbook of Disability and Communication, The Palgrave Handbook of Neo-Victorianism and The Palgrave Handbook of Colonial Commemorations to name but a few; we are publishing a number of exciting textbooks including an eagerly anticipated 2nd Editon of Mareike Jenner's Netflix and the Re-invention of Television: and continue to offer a wide range of thought-provoking titles such as Digital Inclusion, Russiagate Revisited, Naming Africans and Studio Ghibli
