As of January 2020, the first iteration of COUNTER release 5 reports are available. Following an audit to ensure that we comply with the COUNTER Code of Practice Release 5, we are happy to share that we successfully passed and have “limited compliance pending audit of other reports.” This means that the Title Reports for journals and books on nature.com and link.springer.com content are now COUNTER 5 compliant. We plan on releasing additional reports later this year as we continue to work towards being fully COUNTER 5 compliant.
The Title Master Report and its Standard views are available for SpringerLink and nature.com content. The Database Master Report will be available at a later date.

As of January 1, 2021 we will no longer be supporting COUNTER 4 (C4) data for SpringerLink and nature.com (This update does not apply to database reports). You will still be able to temporarily access C4 reports after January 1st, but the data will only be provided up until December 2020.
The phasing out of C4 reports is a key part of our work to fully migrate into C5 code of practice. Following this update, our next steps would be to migrate C4 2016-2018 data and reports to C5 format. We predict this will be implemented sometime in the second quarter of 2021.
