Open access agreement with Bibsam in Sweden

Bibsam Consortium in Sweden has three OA agreements with Springer Nature. The first agreement is a Transformative Agreement covering Springer Nature hybrid journals. This agreement covers open access publications and subscription content access fees in Springer, Palgrave & Adis hybrid journals on SpringerLink and Academic journals on Nature.com. 

The second agreement is a fully open access agreement that covers publications in fully open access journals across the Springer Nature portfolio (BMC, SpringerOpen, Palgrave and Nature Portfolio). Lastly, the third agreement covers open access publications in Nature and original Nature Research journals across the life, physical, clinical and social sciences. 

Since 1996, the National Library of Sweden negotiates license agreements for electronic information resources on behalf of Swedish universities, university colleges, governmental agencies and research institutes. 85 organisations participate in at least one of the agreements.

Authors affiliated with a participating institution are able to publish open access in over 2,000 hybrid journals and/ or more than 400 fully OA journals. The article processing charge is centrally covered by Bibsam Consortium. This agreement also includes access to over 2,200 Springer´s subscription journals, at no extra cost to readers and users connected to Bibsam Consortium.
