If you are affiliated with a participating institution, the Italy transformative agreement means you can publish your article open access (OA) with the fees covered, in more than 2,000 journals across the Springer Nature portfolio.
More than 60 institutions are participating in the transformative agreement between Springer Nature and CRUI-CARE, meaning that corresponding authors* affiliated with participating institutions are eligible to publish their articles open access with fees covered. From January 2026, this also includes Nature and the Nature Research journals for a select list of institutions.
In addition, you can enjoy full access to all Springer subscription journal content.
