Since its inception in 2016, the Literature, Culture and Media Studies eBook collection has been home to some of the most cutting-edge research in the humanities, and this year is no different. While building on classic well-studied topics, the 2022 collection forges ahead and ventures further into innovative and emerging research areas.

Classic subjects such as Shakespeare, film and television studies and theatre history are, as ever, well covered but new topics like digital media, journalism, visual culture, animation, photography, fashion and mobility studies are added to bring this collection right up to date for students and researchers interested in critical contemporary cultural issues.

Featuring a fantastic line-up of authors, this collection continues to showcase topflight research that breaks barriers and wins awards. Notable contributors have included esteemed scholar of media and communication Arthur Asa Berger, renowned semiotician Marcel Danesi, and award-winning investigative journalist David Leigh, with many higher calibre authors set to feature in the 2022 collection.

This year our Handbooks programme goes from strength to strength with new titles such as The Palgrave Handbook of Reproductive Justice and Literature as well as The Palgrave Handbook of Utopian and Dystopian Literature; we are developing a strong textbooks programme including Practice as Research in the Arts and Beyond, The Protagonists Journey and Professional Writing: and continue to offer a wide range of thought-provoking titles such as Tattooed Bodies, Digital Games After Climate Change and Cancel Culture alongside new series such as Palgrave Science Fiction and Fantasy: A New Canon.
