Progress to peer review

If the research is right for your journal, you can pass the suitability assessment so it is ready for the next task: finding and inviting peer reviewers. Lead editors can reassign the submission to another editor after passing the suitability assessment, or choose to handle it themselves.

Request revision

If the manuscript in its current form isn't appropriate for your journal, you can request that the author makes changes before it is considered for full peer review.

Reject and transfer

If the manuscript isn't appropriate for your journal, you can reject it. Authors are given the option to transfer to another journal through our Transfer Desk. If a transfer isn't appropriate, select ‘No, do not transfer submission’.
