New Content Item​​​​​​​The Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), the national online library, announced on January 2016 that they offer free access to all Egyptian citizens, providing access to more than 92 million people. This large scale initiative was announced by the Egyptian President Abdel El-Fattah El-Sisi.

The national online library is a part of a greater vision: Spreading the culture of knowledge, learning and putting a spotlight on the value of research. A culture that aims for a society who can learn, think and innovate.

It contains various types of resources and different kinds of knowledge. Springer Nature is proud to be a part of this great project. This will help every educator, researcher and student, as well as the general public of Egypt to build their knowledge and advance scientific discovery.

How to access

  • Click on the register button here
  • Select the required portal
  • To select Researcher you must use your institution internet network
  • Fill in the required details and click Submit
  • An email with access details will be sent to your registered e-mail address
  • At your login for the first time, you will be prompted to change the automated password sent to you to a new one.

For first time use as a “General Reader” or “Student” you can access anywhere inside the Arab Republic of Egypt and register for a free account.
