As a result, we have spent the last few months working towards becoming COUNTER 5 compliant and would like to share with you an update on our progress:

  1. We plan to release our first COUNTER 5 reports in March, and will notify you as soon as these are available

  2. Access to the newly released COUNTER5 reports will be available via the Springer Nature Librarian Portal

  3. With this first set of reports only usage statistics from SpringerLink and nature.com journals will be available, but we will continue to release more in short iterations over the next few months

  4. The data available for these first reports will be starting from January 2019

  5. All COUNTER 4 reports will continue to be accessible, and will be available at least until the end of 2020.

Over the next few weeks we will also be providing updated customer resources, such as the Springer Nature Librarian Portal FAQ document, usage reporting web page, and more. In the interim, for more details on the COUNTER Code of Practice release 5, visit the COUNTER website: projectcounter.org.
