Approval Manager Resources

To enable approval managers and librarians to support researchers publishing under Springer Nature’s open access (OA) agreements and transformative agreements (TAs), this page provides practical information and resources to help you administer and promote your Springer Nature OA agreement to authors at your institution or within your consortium.

What is an approval manager?

Approval managers are key contacts within institutions covered by OA agreements. The approval manager’s role is to verify articles for article processing charge (APC) coverage under an agreement. The approval manager may be the institution’s OA coordinator or OA administrator, for example.
